We all knew it was gonna happen. I graduate this fall but I feel for my classmates that graduate this spring because this kind of Proud Dad Of A Class Of 2020 Graduate Senior 2020 Quarantined Shirt stuff is making them an afterthought. However, this is the right decision in my eyes because we have to think about people’s health. They had no choice, but that doesn’t make it sting less. Even if they’d have had an in-person event at the end of the summer I doubt I’d ask my parents to subject themselves to that risk. Also, the idea of just crashing the 2021 ceremony is not appealing. There is no way to know if I will still live in Seattle or even in WA by this time next year. I will go wherever I am lucky to find employment.

That was exactly my take on it. I understand the Proud Dad Of A Class Of 2020 Graduate Senior 2020 Quarantined Shirt whole situation and understand the decision, but they did an awful job of being empathetic or explaining every step that they did to try to accommodate the situation. It makes the administration seem pretty cold when they are already trying to put a spin on the situation with marketing descriptions of the virtual ceremony. It’s one thing to be positive in light of all of the negative news lately, but it just comes across to me as a lot of PR hype. Long-ish sigh. I was looking forward to graduating and am disappointed that I don’t get to have that experience. I’m an older student so this was the culmination of a lot of hard work and sacrifice for both myself and my family.

I totally understand where you’re coming from. The Proud Dad Of A Class Of 2020 Graduate Senior 2020 Quarantined Shirt decision to not have the ceremony in person this year totally makes sense, but I really wish they would give us our own graduation. I don’t want to just be an add-on to another ceremony after I worked so hard to get here. I almost cried when I got the email. It is a slap in the face to have them tell me a grad ceremony via Zoom is a “one-of-a-kind, dynamic and personalized experience”. How can you tell me a combined ceremony happening over Zoom is going to be a personalized experience? It was their only opportunity to experience the commencement ceremony.
