I have a toilet out of operation. If I really want it, I have to order it again. I also needed some plumbing supplies. Parts were cheaper on Amazon but the curbside pickup was near-instant at Lowes. Fixed it the same day. Ha, that also sounds fun. Not quite, we have many outdoor kiosks that are primarily newspaper outlets/tobacconists which also sell alcohol. Often located near parks and open spaces. Its good fun to go on a bike ride to a few and treat it like a pub crawl.

I live next to an Official It’s Fine I’m Fine Everything Is Fine Shirt garden center and they were told that they were essential for mental health so they were allowed to stay open. It makes sense to me. Locally, I saw a dog grooming store that had a letter from the governor posted on their front door and window, declaring them an ‘essential’ business, and therefore they could stay open. Then, beneath that, there was another letter from their landlord, citing a letter from the mayor, stating they absolutely were not an essential business and that they should be closed.

So they were closed. Good on their landlord for putting a stop to Official It’s Fine I’m Fine Everything Is Fine Shirt that nonsense. Bear in mind, this was not just a regular pet store, it was a fancy ‘pet boutique.’ All they do is grooming. Plenty of dogs need regular professional grooming regularly to prevent matting. If I owned one of those breeds, I would consider it essential. At our local Walmart, everything is still available for purchase. I don’t know if it varies by location or they’re just ignoring corporate here. Most garden centers also sell edible plants like herbs and vegetables and whatnot. So they are providing sources of food.
