Real Lebkuchen will always turn out hard right after baking, you’re supposed to store it in a tin box with an apple wedge, after a couple of days they will turn the right kind of soft eventually. This. The tricky thing about getting lebkuchen right is they soften and the flavor intensifies over time, so you won’t really know how the recipe turned out right away. My Oma used to start to make them in November.

Banana cookies?!? If you don’t mind sharing will you dm your recipe? I love cookies and banana everything, how have I never thought to make banana cookies? Sure! These are very close to Official I’m Not Yelling I’m A Redhead That’s How We Talk Shirt a Land O Lakes recipe but tweaked a little. Don’t sub butter for the Crisco, because the butter flavor interferes with the banana flavor. They will look curdled before you add the flour; just ignore it and keep going. And the caramel frosting is the real star.
