I’m total with you on pretty much everything, but Obsidian isn’t a AAA studio. At least they weren’t when they started making Outer Worlds and to the point, they are now. Microsoft also said they weren’t giving Obsidian or inXile AAA budgets yet, with speculation that they want them to Good Karma Is Like A Rubber Band Shirt prove themselves. I actually like Overwatch. It’s a very polished and well-balanced game. It’s not the same game as, say, Fallout, but for its genre, it has completely replaced TF2 in my game playing rotation. I usually fire it up for a few games after I’ve been exploring, questing, or settlement building for hours in FO4. It’s a great game when I just want to shoot things. I’m pretty sure it’s doing the Borderlands style open world, where it’s several large explorable areas you can travel to Good Karma Is Like A Rubber Band Shirt, but it’s not one big world space like Skyrim, could be wrong tho.

Also, I think sometimes the completely open-world gets overwhelming. The biggest gripe I had with Skyrim is that I wish the story took you to each of the towns to give you a reason to go there and explore instead of “oh here’s another town”. From what I’ve seen it’s kind of an open world, but a little more limited. It was compared to like mass effect, so you have your ship where all your companions are and stuff and then different places to travel to Good Karma Is Like A Rubber Band Shirt where you can explore.
