You don’t have to have personal experience with something to know that it is dangerous or unfit to be a pet. I mean, why would it matter if not a single one of us had ever owned a Pit? The determination of some pits to break out of yards/houses is scary. God, we’d see some truly senile dogs at the vet I just felt bad for. Just confused all the time and easily startled. Imagining an old confused Cocoa makes me. That wasn’t the case for Cute Boston Terrier Don’t Scare Me I Fart Easily Shirt a lot of them, though. A lot of them had mental clarity until the moments they passed. So that’s another thing that’s determined by genetics. We still have her crate though if she gets weird. If she got truly senile though they’d probably put her down because at that point it’s a quality of life thing. Humans have sundown syndrome too! Similar thing.
