Harder to go out and find out what they need for support. To avoid the hypocrisy I do none of the above. Incredibly tragic. Its society’s way of ‘rewarding’ their sacrifice, when the whole shitty system shouldn’t be asking so much of them while giving so little in the first place. I know that thoughts and prayers are not enough in every situation. But I do appreciate actual thoughts and prayers from people who don’t have the means to do anything else. That’s just me though.

It is nice no sarcasm at all. I’m a lowly hospital janitor and we don’t get the PPE that the Bank Teller 2020 #Quarantined COVID-19 Shirt nurses doctors and have. I understand but I still have to go into these rooms. It is good to see the support but what I’d really like is proper PPE and maybe some sort of pay raise. Many of us hospital janitors out there doing this for barely minimum wage without proper PPE because we can’t afford to leave our jobs. From one person with a 69 in their name to another I actually do appreciate it. I just hope any real change comes from all this. That first paragraph is a bit disingenuous. That’s why they’re called heroes. It has literally nothing to do with their salary or value.

Doctors are going well above and beyond the Bank Teller 2020 #Quarantined COVID-19 Shirt call of duty. But hospital administrator is silencing them or firing them for speaking out about lack of PPEs. There’s no media coverage on resident deaths and mistreatment either. In addition, many doctors are resident physicians — these are the ones that are being paid minimum wage, working 80+ hours/week, saddled with 250-500k in loans from medical school. None of them expected to risk their lives due to inadequate protection that is supposed to be covered by their residency program. They’re stuck between a rock and a hard place. They are being sacrificed at the expense of hospital administrators.
