I’m fairly certain they DO check cameras or something. When I was an M4, I parked in a free, large patient parking garage every day for my Sub-I, and about 4 other rotations. I would always hide my white coat in an Awesome Peace Love Radiology Shirt satchel. About 3.5 months in, I was running late, forgot, and got out of my car with my backpack and white coat on. Immediately got a ticket. My school’s parking center did the same to me. When I tried to fight it, they requested a copy of the visit note to help their decision. Let’s just say they didn’t get it and my ticket ended up being converted to a warning. Never did pay it either. Have fun enforcing that. I went to school in a different city. You should have been able to show them your discharge instructions or other paperwork that showed you have an appointment.

Yeah, this happened to Awesome Peace Love Radiology Shirt one of my residents in residency. I hated our parking though, they were evil. I interviewed at Baylor NSG with the PD and this was one of the talking points when I expressed my concern over parking at TMC. He immediately ended the interview. Word. Where I did my fellowship, they charged for parking, but my department paid the fee for the fellows. It’s nice to know they think it’s bullshit too. Is your program a huge program like UTSW is? Usually what I see at these huge academic centers with an of residencies and fellowships is they typically don’t give much for free (meal plans, parking, etc).

Lol! We have a suburb here called “Garland”, and ever since I saw a gar in the Awesome Peace Love Radiology Shirt water while we were on a vacation in Florida when I was little.
