I was able to get the APR tune at the dealership where I bought my car, it’s nice that everything was above board I guess.

It’s a reasonable question. To be honest I don’t have a clear path to Awesome Floral Yes I’m A Woman Yes I Drive An Audi No You Can’t Drive It Shirt affording a 911. It could be 10 years, it could be never. This right now could be the high point in my arc of automobile ownership. My next car could be a dodge caravan. I feel your pain. I’d be really tickled to get the 2.5T in the Golf R. 200hp/liter on pump gas with APR Stage 2…the EA888 only manages 188hp/liter. Plus, that 5 cylinder is much better sounding and much smoother than the 4. Call me old fashioned but I’d rather have a stick, though. Did it seem good? Another 60 horses and no issues with the car afterward.

Imagine something akin to the Miata with that Gen3 EA888 and a 6 speed. That would be a really fun combination. Absolutely. To anyone else here not wanting to waste the warranty but who needs more power, JB4! It transforms the car. It splits the difference between the R and the RS3 in peak power, and surely more than splits the difference in midrange power. As someone considering both in the near future, this was extremely useful. I’ll take the Golf. The magnetic ride feels similar. There might only be two settings on the RS3 (comfort/dynamic) instead of the 3 on the R (comfort/normal/race). Ah, so the R was tuned. Makes sense, then. How did you like APR+? I’ve considered selling the jb4 and going APR+ on my mk7.5 GTI.
