That way they could put it on without having to rewind and keep me happy for hours. Great animation and an absolutely stunning soundtrack by James Horner. This is one of my favorite movies as a kid. Little foot’s mom dying?? I’m not crying!! YOU ARE CRYING!!! Wtf is with the moms always in kids’ movies? I loved this movie but it broke my heart as a kid, same with Bambi. It’s basically a metaphor for kids growing up, leaving the nest, etc.

It’s also a way to force the character to face dangers head-on without running to their parents to save them. Gosh, talk about teaching kids about death and loss. I always had to make sure my mom was with me when I watched it. And she always cried. Lol, I don’t count any of the sequels. Huge fan though. Recently I just watched Bartok the magnificent. The only sequel directed by the man. It was pretty good given the low budget.

Bartok the magnificent…. the Autism Dinosaurs One Day You Can Do It For Yourself Shirt kinda sequel prequel thing to Anastasia. He directed it lol. It’s actually not bad for the low budget. Yeees holy shit I still remember Little Foot, Petrie, Spike, and Cera! And that sad scene where a relative of Little Foot died, I can’t remember much, but I truly enjoyed it as a kid! I watched this on VHS all the time as a kid. I loved it so much I even tolerated the sequels if I was promised to watch this movie. I love the movie but it makes me sad every time it is brought up due to the actress that played Ducky.
